Mark & Debs new kitchen

My wife and I recently undertook a major renovation of our property in St Albans which comprised the whole of the inside of the house (less the bedrooms) and the back garden. The inside works involved stripping the property right back and fitting new electrics, water and central heating pipes, radiators, plastering (walls and ceilings) etc. Clearly a new fully fitted kitchen formed part of the work and for this we employed the services of Amethyst Kitchens Ltd, based in Watford. Amethyst provided us with a complete package, from design, to purchase (including units, white goods, work tops, taps etc), to fitting and decoration.
Our initial contact was with Alun Tomlin, the designer, who started working with us around 7 months ahead of the project start date. During this time Alun met us face to face well over half a dozen times to ensure our design was exactly as we wanted. In between these visits there was a great deal of communication between us and Alun to ensure the design kept on track and, as importantly, to our specification. Alun was a fantastic person to deal with not only in terms of his professional knowledge but also his warm and engaging personality. He always took the time to make sure the various tweaks met our requirements. Especially useful, was his ability to suggest new ideas and concepts that we had not thought about and yet, in the end, he would always respect our final decision (although to be honest it turned out that he was always right!). The whole part of this design process was a thoroughly enjoyable process which was a total surprise for us and not one we were expecting.

Once the major part of the design process was over, the completion of the kitchen itself was turned over to Alan (the fitter) and Chris (the decorator). That said Alun continued to show an active interest in the work and was in regular contact with Chris and Alan to make sure things were going as planned and to co-ordinate with us on the final finishing touches of the kitchen.

As with Alun, both Chris and Alan turned out to be consummate professionals in their respective trades and we could not be happier with the overall result. Both Chris and Alan would always go ‘the extra mile’ to ensure the result was as exactly as we envisaged which, these days, is often not the case.
So, in summary, if you want your dream kitchen designed, ordered, fitted, and decorated to meet your exacting requirements you could not do better than employ the services of Amethyst Kitchens Ltd. Sure, you could probably get a kitchen cheaper somewhere else, but that would be false economy and one that you would probably regret. As true professionals with a wealth of relevant experience behind them I could not recommend Amethyst Kitchens Ltd highly enough.
