"We asked Amethyst to take on the refurbishment of a house we inherited: it was a major project, which required professional expertise.
We needed to work with a company we could trust and, having had Amethyst do work in our own home, we were confident they would do an excellent job.
The project involved virtually gutting the house and starting from scratch: new windows throughout, new external doors, new soffits and fascias, complete rewiring, new re-sited boiler and radiators, replastering, new kitchen, new bathroom and new flooring/carpets, plus new switches and sockets, new door handles and total redecoration.
A box room also metamorphosed into a third bedroom.
We needed Amethyst to handle the whole exercise, which is what they did extremely well, giving us what was effectively a new house.
They produced excellent, detailed designs (down to the last TV point) and recommended fixtures and fittings (as we requested) before the start, offered top quality workmanship and technical knowledge, and master-minded delivery.
They engaged and project managed all the additional trades needed from start to finish.
We are very pleased with the outcome.
In particular, we find their willingness to make suggestions and overcome problems, together with the absence of a “sales” approach, refreshing.
We are sure that it would be hard if not impossible to do better."
